Virgin code share out of Boston

I have been trying to fly Boston to London now for the past couple weeks. I am interested in flying out of BOS on May 23-25 and I have found a fare for $515 total.

I could either take CO the whole way connecting in EWR or take the VS codeshare out of BOS.

Today, I checked with a travel agent about prices. I was quoted a price of $310 before taxes, came out to around $420 after all taxes and fees. However, the travel agent sees nothing about the CO codeshare in the flight numbers.

My question is, does any VS flight out of the US get CO miles? Will this flight get me CO miles out of BOS if I book it as a VS flight number.

Thanks

Eric

All flights operating under the CO-code accrue OnePass miles (including "flights" operated by buses and trains). Any Virgin-operated flight ticketed under the Continental designator code will accrue mileage. Virgin-operated flights do not accrue OnePass miles unless they are CO-designated. A VS-designated Virgin flight does not accrue OnePass mileage. You could elect to receive Virgin Flying Club, America West FlightFund, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer, etc. miles when flying on Virgin Atlantic.

In other words, to get CO mileage on a flight that is "flown" by Virgin, you MUST purchase that tix through CO, NOT Virgin. Therefore, you get a CO flight #.

If you purcahse thru Virgin, you can earn Virgin FF miles, but NOT CO!
