You might want to print it and frame it

i receive them (EAU's, that is). no big deal.

i am going to seattle on friday (for you know what) and got an EAU on April 22 at 6:18 AM for my April 26 flight.

it hadn't even crossed my mind to start thinking about the upgrade. it probably wouldn't have crossed my mind until April 26, actually. when i have an exit row seat i don't obsess about an upgrade. well, i don't obsess about upgrades even when i don't have an exit row seat.

no, you just obsess about how other people obsess over things that don't matter to you....

duxfan: well, you obsess about being critical of every post i make. at least i stuck to the topic at hand. your post had nothing to do with the topic, so where's your value added? i actually discussed a recent EAU (or whatever those upgrade thingies are called) i received. your post had nothing to do with an EAU, did it?

you might think you stuck to topic, but all it looked like was the opportunity for you to take a poke (as usual) at ewr-coflyer over something he felt was important and you (as usual) did not. had you stuck to topic and not taken a swipe at another FT'er, I would have had nothing to say.

Upgrades and exit row seats?!?

Airlines are just about getting people from A to B, remember? (in your "immortal" words)...

Personally FCTSTY, I don't even obsess about things like seats, seatbelts, and overhead bins. As long the plane is more or less in one piece and the engines don't fall off too often, I have nothing to complain about.

After all, its just about getting from A to B...

I got our e-mails for upgrades on Tuesday, 4/30. Looks like the system has been repaired.

I received another one this morning for a flight 5 days from now. But, I have (2) flights that day and one of the segments is still A8 F0

Then I have (2) segments that should clear via EUA tomorrow and they are both A9 F7, so we'll see what happens w/ those.

Rashomon: i wholeheartedly agree.

dux: my post was to say i got upgraded to seattle via EAU (or whatever the email is called) and, if i didn't, i would be happy in my exit row seat. your post had nothing to do with commercial airline flying.

got another one today... I think you're not allowed to get more than one per day I have (6) segments next week, and (3) have been upgraded via EUA...

While I am happy that I've received (3) so far, there are still some games being played. One flight is A8 F0 and another is A7 F1. And, it is simply futile calling in to ask for the (1) seat that should have been upgraded that wasn't.
