It is actually a NW WorldClub that CO shares space. Great service but it can get pretty crowded during peak periods. Shared clubs like this are great because you get the best of both clubs in one place (self service booze and free wireless).

And Cappucino machine with Milano.
Self serve bar is great, but I have a hard time to make myslef a bloody Mary.

Billiken Apr 22, 2005 11:46 am

Yes, very nice space.

Miggles Apr 22, 2005 1:03 pm

I was there the other day, and I would consider this more of a hybrid club than an all NW club. When you enter, there are 2 receptionists - 1 for NW and 1 for CO, each wearing the appropriate uniform. Also, the co_presidentsclub wireless hot spot is available in the ORD club.

Self-serve booze, fireplace, and two check-in/credential desks: one CO, one NW. Not a bad space. Actually, there are two self-serve bars, with different contents, which means that the gin is strangely distant from the tonic.

I wish all PCs would institute a self-serve bar.

socrates Apr 22, 2005 5:44 pm

too small for the volume it sees.......

dlen111 Apr 22, 2005 8:17 pm

its my favorite PC. best non hub clud in my opinion. the CO and NW agents are really nice. nice view along an entire side of the club.

gets crowed during peak times is an under statment. its standing room only.

i dont particularly like the SS bar, but i do manage to poor a much nicer drink than the PC normally does.

That would be the HNL PC in my opinion :D

Note: The location might be influencing my opinion though

Billiken Apr 23, 2005 8:10 am

I agree with my philosopher friend....HNL is very nice.

I also like IAH (E), DCA and LAX.

Least favorite: SFO (great staff, but it's outside shoe carnival).

MBM3 Apr 23, 2005 10:29 am

I prefer some of the clubs with a great view and service, including DCA, IAH E and LAX. Others such as HNL and DEN are great, but I really like pondering the sites on the tarmac while I am relaxing in the PC.

Maybe I just had a good experience, but I enjoyed the bartender in IAH Term. E - great service and some neat bartending tricks...But there are advantages to self-serve, too.

You know, I've used a lot of domestic PCs, but this one ranks at the bottom for service (and I count this as a PC as they have CO staff). I'm sitting in it right now - there is no secondary agent staffing the desk, so I sat there for 3 minutes waiting while the NW attendant stared at me before telling me to go back to the front desk. There I asked if F had cleared - she told me that it hadn't, put my companion on (I had cleared at 3day), but would not tell me where she was in the list. She claimed that 'they aren't allowed to tell us' - this coming without any hint of a smile of eye contact. She then told me that 'the gate agents are only allowed to tell you' - which I know is BS as I told her that every other PC agent has been able to tell me in the past, and I don't think that is policy. I'm pretty sure she was one of those that would take my companion right OFF the list as soon as I walked away, even though I was very cordial.

Overall I was disgusted by both NW and CO's lack of interest, personality or customer service at this PC. This lounge just trumped EWR ~120 for the surliest gate agents.

(although I like the NW seats with the swivel tops)

I wish they would do the joint club in ATL and a few of the smaller non hub clubs.

Do Independence Air flights leave from the same area in the terminal? Just wondering if any frequent club users know...

Yes, Independence Air flights leave from the same area of the terminal as NW/CO in T2 at ORD. I think they use E10??

I too like this club, and use it a lot of the times even while flying UA. Even though there is an RCC in T2, it is very frequently overcrowded. I haven't had a problem w/ crowding at the NW/CO club in T2 though, probably because if I'm on UA I'm leaving at different times as the NW/CO flights.
