Different Elite Levels On Same Record - Split or Remove OP#?
My wife (Silver) and I (Platinum) are going to San Diego in a couple of weeks to get out of our record breaking winter duldrums. We were lucky enough to grab a great fare (~$250) on CO.com and booked on the same record so we could grab seats together on the bulkhead or exit row (739s each leg). Now the big question - given all of the recent rule changes what would be the best method to get us both EUA'd? In the past I would request that our record be split, but it seems like that may not be best anymore. I am curious to hear everyone's thoughts and experiences.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Always split the PNR.
You will be upgraded as a Silver and only if they have two seats.
A better way to book is two reservations (1000 extra miles) and then manage then under your Plat account. You should be able to use your status on both accounts or call the elite line.

Have to agree with Boofer. Split the record. The other upside to this is if at check in time your wife has not been EAU'd and you have, you can ask for a companion up. Doing that basicly makes her plat for the flight. Jumping her ahead of golds and silvers on the waitlist.
