Tips for first time at EWR

My CO flight from DTW will land at Terminal C and my EWR-MAD flight leaves from C. This is my first time taking CO on a transatlantic (used to AA or IB out of MIA or SJU) and I was wondering if anyone had any tips? Mainly I was wondering if there are any CO lounges in Terminal C and if they were worth going to while waiting for my flight.

Lastly, anyone flying on a 777 from EWR to MAD, any comments on the flight? If the experience is good I may do this trip again through CO in the future.

Yes. They have two pretty good lounges in Terminal C. One is near gate 80 and the other on the main concourse between the 110-119 and the 120+ gates. To get in, you'll need to be flying BusinessFirst or have an AMEX platinum card.

Best of luck on your trip. Only advice I can personally give with EWR is to make sure you have a good idea of where you are going and it might not hurt to glance at a terminal map more than once before arriving. It's very easy for a delay at EWR to spiral out of control on a trip.

I should have added that of course besides flying BF or having an AMEX platimum card, you can get in the CO clubs if you have a President's Club membership card.

Parking ?

Can anyone tell me if Corporate Airport Parking is any good?

This is my first time to EWR and I am not sure where to park for 7 days.

They have a rate of $9.75/day.

I took this flight a couple of years ago, it's really good, specially because of the 777. Only small problem, inflight entertainment was down for a section in coach, later received $50 for my inconvenience...great impression!!! Highly recomend it, far better than leaving from MIA!!!

Talking Shopping!

Continentla's Global Gateway at EWR Shops and Dining are managed by Westfield Shopping Towns... Which means many nice shops and places to eat. I was just there 7/8 returning from LAS... Among a Gallaghers Steak House there is a DKNY, Kenneth Cole and a Staples! just to name a few stores... I do love shopping- what makes it fabulous though is that West Field promises all prices in the airport are within reason of prices you will see at the mall or outside the airport, so you can actually get some really good deals while there ( some 50% off at the DKNY store on some nice stuff)... I hope you enjoy your trip...

Well everyone down here in Florida knows that you never fly with MIA. :P It's far better to use Fort Lauderdale (FLL). Heck, even if they don't have the flight, I've heard of people going to MCO or ATL to avoid MIA. Actually it's worth the money.
