It would be great if they changed the sked so it worked. EWR-HKG n/s & stopover, then HKG-GUM-DPS same day would be a very attractive routing.

I was hoping there was some "forced stop-over" thing in GUM that would make the routing work, but it doesn't appear to. I guess going CX is the only way to make it work.

You have to use a third-party booking engine (ie expedia) and include at least one CX flight. See the past threads in the mileage run forum for routing suggestions. (Search for "DPS")

Of course, on CX, you would not earn CO miles for that segment. But it isn't all about miles, is it?

Just kidding! Of course it is! ;)

You can fly HKG-GUM-DPS in a day- sort of.
CO flies HKG-GUM on Mondays and Fridays.
Co flies GUM-DPS on Sunday, Tues and Thursday.
The Monday flight leaves Hong Kong in the evening and arrives Tuesday morning. The GUM-DPS flight leaves at 6pm Tuesday evening. So, if that works for you you could arrive in HKG on Monday, fly out Monday night( arriving early am on Tueday) and then fly to DPS on Tuesday( evening). You'd have to spend a long day on Tuesday in Guam but it is better than an overnight

Thanks!

Was anybody able to get this to work for the same fare with a stopover in HKG?

The fare is still available but the routing does not allow for a connection in HKG, so no stopovers in HKG are allowed on this fare.

Great Fare

I want to ticket asap since cx ended their deal of the month & this is a fare match, but I have a few questions.1)we really wanted the direct flt hnl/ewr but we arrive in hnl at 5:15pm & the direct flt leaves at 3:35pm so it would mean an overnight;my question is if we do this, will we have to handle our luggage? This is not an option with all our bali shopping :) 2)I have enough miles on nw to upgrade 1 way(If available);which would you choose?3)any seat recommendations? Thanks for any suggestions.

Does anyone knwo if this is still available..

ON CO.com it doesnt show.. but in ITA it shows and on travelocity (although you cant pick the dates) it shows as well..

-milerunner..

BTW.. this is a great fare to a great place.. especially if you intend to stopover in Guam or HNL..

Looking to get in on this.. Is this upgradable with NW miles?

no...never got it to price out. it always priced as two stopovers (and $1800!). It's strange though, because the fare rules talk about stopovers in HKG and additional taxes that would be incurred.
