How transfer amex points to OnePass ?

i really have problem with transferring amex point to continental onepass program. from amex they is no option to put onepass # and transfer easily. the only way is from onepass itself. but when i try from there it won't work :(

give me Error all the time ...
i have more than 250k points in my amex membership rewards but onepass can't transfer it

what the hell is wrong ? onepass is not american express partner anymore

Assuming you have a card based in the United States it is a rather trivial process. Log in to the Membership Rewards site. Search for Continental to find the 1000 MR points = 1000 OnePass points award and select it.

Right next to the picture of the airplane you should see two links, one of them says "Link your OnePassŪ Miles account." Fill in the details there and you should be all set. Make sure to choose Link additional programs and not Enroll additional programs when you have that choice.

American Express has made the points transfer page a bit more difficult to locate. Click this link to get started:

i attach screenshot here

says Mileage Earned 2000 but in the left bar my balance is 0!

I suggest you ask Continental Airlines why the 2,000 miles that show as "earned" from the Membership Rewards transfer have not been added to your OnePass balance.

Moving thread to the OnePass section because the problem seems to be on Continental's end.

If you click on the View All Activity link does it show the miles there? Did the CO folks you spoke with say that you had 0 miles or 2000 in the account?

Samir30 May 19, 2011 9:49 am

yes i think
OnePass Elite Qualification
Description Miles Miles Points
Beginning Balance as of 05/19/2011: 0 0 0
Airline Activity: 0 0 0
Non Airline Activity: 2,000 - -
Reward Activity: 0 - -
Ending Balance as of 05/19/2011: 2,000 0 0

but why in main page show 0 miles ?
i still can not book any trip ... because my balance is 0 really. but when i click on all activity it show 2000miles there ...

what is this mean

Because that apparently updates from a different source.

You cannot book a trip with 2,000 miles either so no big difference there. ;)

I know from my previous personal experience that when I did the transfer from AmEx the agent on the phone immediately saw the miles appear. I'm willing to bet that if you move sufficient miles over from AmEx and then go through the online booking process they'll similarly be available for making the booking immediately.

Samir30 May 19, 2011 10:13 am

yes i will transfer more. but now this 2000 miles is not available ...
i tried many different ways to see really 2000 posted to my account or not. but seems it really don't exist :(
i can't book anything , can't transfer even 1 mile to another onepass member or can not redeem on any site ... now i'm sure 0 balance is true. what you think ?

Why do you keep saying that? Did the agent say you had 0 or 2000?

Sure it does, in at least two different views on the site.

I think you didn't read my advice above and that your panic is misguided.

There are no awards that are only 2000 miles so how are you determining that you cannot redeem? And I'm sure you could transfer miles to another member if you linked their OP account to your MR account following the same instructions I shared above that you used to link your account originally. I'll be happy to receive 1000 miles from you to prove it if you'd like. :D
