757-200 and 757-200 flatbed

As per Seatguru there is a difference with seats in row 7 and 21 between the two versions. Supposedly in the flat bed version the seats on the above mentioned rows have extra legroom but limited recline. The regular 200 does not indicate the recline problem. Can someone confirm this? And if correct, why would that be?

There are no longer any 752s in the CO fleet that aren't flat bed equipped, so the non-flat bed layout is no longer valid.

With that said, I think part of the description for 7A/B/C got copied up from the description for row 20. There's no reason for row 7 to have limited recline. I haven't ever sat on that row, however, so I would wait for a comment from someone who has.

My seat map for tomorrow on CO.com is described as being a 757-200. There was no mention of "flatbed". I wasn't aware that there are no more regular 757s, so I take it that there might or might not be a difference and I will find out for sure tomorrow. I will be glad to get it over with and exit that plane in AMS.

The flight status page for CO.com tells you what the seat types are. No limited recline in either of these rows though.

Interestingly, looking at tomorrow's EWR-AMS flights the later one doesn't say that there are flat beds in BF: http://pda.continental.com/PDA20/InF...3e017&gInfo1=1

I also was under the impression that these have all been converted so I assume this is just not updated properly on the CO website for that specific aircraft.

Thanks for the link, quite useful.

The CO.com seatmaps don't seem to have been updated yet. They still show 752 BF seats as squares, rather than the angled oblong seats on a 772.

Row 7 (but A,B,C only) is great - unlimited legroom. 7A is a limited slightly because of the chute packed into the exit door, but it just means positioning your legs slightly diagonally.

Maybe that's what it is. We are in B/C. Wish us luck!

Row 7 had the same recline as everywhere else in Y, which is to say not very much. Leg room is about 6 feet. Seats are a bit narrower as the tray tables are in fixed arm rests between the seats.

Do they offer IFE? Is it like UA with monitors in the aisle?

Just make sure you don't miss it in row 7 as my parents did on their first 752 flight - "everyone else had a screen except us!" it pops up from the seat near your leg on that row.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I tried to search and was unsuccessful. I mainly fly international, but am taking a rare domestic roundtrip from EWR to LAX. I return on a 757. The seatmap doesn't show flatbeds, but can I assume that there are no 757's that are not flatbed and being used for domestic -- i.e. that even on a domestic flight like this there will be the flatbeds?

If it's on a 752 with 16 seats up front - there will be flatbeds. You won't get the full BF experience when it comes to service, just the domestic transcon first level. The seats and AVOD are the same, however. If you have a 753 with 24 F seats - those are just regular domestic first seats.

It's a 752, that's great -- I can actually take a nap on the flight!
