Back to my initial question -- why did the OP feel the need to go to F? What is wrong with getting supplies from the rear galley where OP belonged.

I addressed that question in my earlier post.

Ahh...now I get it. :D ;)

I wonder if CO is going to move to Terminal A at EWR or if UA is going to move to Terminal C? I would vote for A since it is the first stop on the Port Authority bus from Manhattan. ;) ;) ;) ;)

How many more SXM threads do we need??
And you all still believe this is a true story?

To answer the question of why my wife went to first class and not the back of the plane - it was because we were in row 12. The plane had 32 rows. The first class cabin was half the distance.

And I am shocked that people actually believe first class space is so sacred. While I have no issue with airlines asking people to use the bathroom in their class - this wasn't a matter of not wanting to walk to the back of the plane or stand in line. A woman was ill and my wife was being kind and the first class cabin was the nearest place to request a glass of water and a wash-cloth. I used to get upgraded to first quite a bit when I was Elite a few years ago - it's no big deal. It is just a slightly better degree of terrible service than in coach. And since 80% of the people in first are flying on the same cheap ticket I am and are there solely as a result of an upgrade my response is simple - get over it.

One other thing - the whole experience outraged me. But the most outrageous part wasn't that my wife was asked to leave first class (which I think was crazy) - it was the total dis-regard for the ill woman's well being. The flight attendant could have made at least an effort to see if there was anything she could do. I am not exaggerating when I say that after she said she couldn't handle vomit (recall that nobody asked her to) she immediately turned around and left. All she had to do is say "I'm sorry, I can't handle the sickness bag but is there anything I can get you?" or "Is there anything you need?" It is just another example of poor service on US airlines. I can assure you that flight attendants on SQ, Thai or most other non-US airlines would never have acted this way. To be honest even i was surprised the flight attendants were so bad - I don't expect much from US airlines but this is a new low.

I disagree with your COnclusion. You seem to be generalizing this CO FA's behavior to all U.S. airlines.

There is only one (1) U.S. carrier where the CEO has COme on the screen for the better part of 20 years telling the staff how great they are. This sort of COmmunication and related COddling of staff is exclusive to CO, and has bred the sort of arrogance and lack of COmpassion that you seem to be COmplaining about amongst CO's CO-workers.

While I agree that carriers in other COuntries often provide better service, I think it's inCOrrect to attribute the lack of COmpassion in this instance to any COmpany other than CO.

I should hope not as your wife is not entitled to hang out in first class just because you used to get upgrades or because she is doing a good deed.

I think OP's wife did a right thing and should not be blamed for her act at all.

The FA was a just one of the rotten apples, though in my experience CO FA is much more friendly than UA ones (that doesn't mean CO FA would handle this situation better).

Required? How about even the slightest bit of concern, compassion, caring for another human being whom they were just told is not feeling well....let alone a paying customer...guess she had to get back to protect the 'F'ortress.

ROTFL. It is also "frequently covered" in the Libyan press that the current unpleasantness there is being caused by the CIA and Al Qaeda putting hallucinogens in the water/cola of the youth.

Either one true? No.

A couple points. Passengers from Y should not be in the forward cabin. Both for security reasons and to maintain the integrity of the cabin. Why didn't your wife go to the galley in the rear to obtain water and supplies? The FA was acting appropriately to ask her to return behind the curtain.

Second, it's not clear to me that you told the FA what was required. Is the FA supposed to be psychic -- it the passenger wanted needed water, washcloth etc., it should have been requested. True the FA should have been more proactive, but that still doesn't give someone the right to barge into F.

your post is WAY over dramatic, but that doesn't surprise me. get over yourself. Your not god when you fly.....sounds like you might want to experiment in flying on private jets.....
