It's clearly the fault of SMI/J. Just like everything else at UA/CO nowadays.

Most likely due to the extra global warming caused by SMI/J's hot air added to each UA safety announcement.

I'm afraid you know not what you speak.

B752 LRC is M0.02 faster than B73x; that's about 7 minutes over the course of a 5 hour flight.

Filed airspeeds off recent flightplan suggest they're flying the difference rather than losing it to cost indexing or something.

They're not that bad, are they?

Well, when CO is running 737s on transc:rolleyes:ns and 757s to Eur:rolleyes:pe, it gives the impressi:rolleyes:n of LCC.

My statement stands.

Would you like to contribute any information to this thread instead of unsupported denials?

I'm aware operators don't always fly OEM nominal cruise speeds, but if your claim is correct C:rolleyes: dispatch missed the memo are consistently filing faster airspeeds for the 757s than the 737s on transcons.

Here's the filed airspeed data I found for the last two weeks:

Yep, those lie-flats on the 752 are horrendous on tatl...don't even get me started on the y product with AVOD and in seat power. ;)

Now if only we could get that state of the art UA 747 Y product on our long-hauls...:D

yeah, tell me, which global airline uses 757s to fly Europe-USA?

by the way, with only 16 BF seats, good luck with SWU upgrades. If no upgrade, then be ready for 31" pitch cattle class even if you are elite. :o:o

UA 747 Y sucks for long hauls, but at least elites get E+. CO 757 Y to Europe is worse, unless you don't like more leg room.

What I care about is getting a decent ride and 8-9 hour flights on a LCC style plane with one aisle and two bathrooms for 160 coach customers is far short of decent in my book.

Sounds like one of those days where I used to be terrified to drive on the Tappan Zee Bridge

Headwinds

Saw a EWR-SNA flight on Thursday that before they even left it was projected to land an hour and 10 mins late. Is there a site out there to check what the headwinds are?

I have been on flights from the U.S. to Asia that had to make unscheudled stops to for fuel, especially in the Winter, because of strong headwinds.

I like the 757 compared to UA 747s, you can get a bulkhead, and AVOD, yep that's what I call an LCC....
