One Pass will live on for a while...
So Google announced a payment system for publishers to charge for content today. And it's called....'One Pass'
http://www.google.com/landing/onepass/ Will Jeff be sending a friendly letter their way, or do our resident esquires think Google will get away with 'One Pass' being meaningfully different than the registered trademark 'OnePass'? |
Not my area of law, but there are appear to be several other "OnePass" trademarks out there:
http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield...h=Submit+Query Which led me to this lovely item: http://www.amazon.com/BioIonic-OnePa.../dp/B0014M2MOK Anyway, if I remember law school correctly, the basic test for trademark infringement is "likelihood of confusion", which I really don't see here. |
You mean to tell me I won't get confused and think I can use my Valuable OnePass Miles for a subscription to an online magazine. :p
