We have never experienced anything special when flying with my son in FC/BF on a dozen or so flights up front.

OK, what if it is a morning departure, 9;30 am from EWR to PDX - what type of service(s)?

Well, I would say nothing... but it's a very rare coincidence that you so happened to be on multiple, long flights and not gotten hot towels..

Then again, stranger things have happened... I was the kid who always managed to pick out the broken toy at the store and had to get it replaced.

It is rare indeed. I just flew ABQ to IAH a week ago in F and received a hot towel. That flight is only about 2 hours.

First Class: Breakfast with a choice of three main course options

CO Inflight Amenities answers this, http://pda.continental.com

3 Breakfast choices on printed menus. Tray linens and hot towels are supposed to be presented especially on transon routes. A bowl of fruit for the "first course" will be served. Croissants and other breads will be offered with jam or butter. Towards the end of the flight freshly baked cookies accompanied with milk will be served. What am I leaving out? Oh a lot of people enjoy mimosas on this route! Enjoy!

Hi everyone! The flight is from Miami to Newark around 1:00 pm...It is roughly 3 hours and 15 minutes. Do you know if f/c serves cookies or if they have tv screens in the seats or a drop down screen? My son likes the tv on Jetblue and was hoping they had this on CO in f/c. I called directly but cannot get a straight answer. Thanks :)

Um, how about trying their web site or doing a search here first?

The IFE will depend on the aircraft type. Most of the 737-900ERs have seat-back LiveTV and if you get a 757-200 you'll have AVOD. Otherwise it will probably be the drop-down screens with a single movie on that route.

A flight leaving around 1 PM will serve lunch.

Thankyou.

Keep in mind that FLA routes sometimes don't follow the same rules. Occasionally the meal level is a little lower.

We used to have fun packs for kids but those went away a looong time ago. Always bring any snacks/entertainment your child (or you) might want, just in case what we have doesn't meet your expectations. It's not possible to please everyone but we try (while still saving a dime).

All of them have it now.

The FL routes do seem to be a case apart. I fly EWR-RSW and vice versa every 3 weeks or so. If it's a direct flight, there's never a meal, even at mealtimes, just the pretzels & drink service. Bizarrely, however, if I route via IAH, there's a meal on both legs (even on the 90 minute IAH-RSW hop), and always the aforementioned soup!

Hot towels are offered on pretty much every flight.

Haven't travelled with kids for a while, so cannot help much there - but the IFE nowadays is pretty good on most flights, especially the Direct TV on the 739s (but more comfort on the 757/777s if you are lucky enough to get one of those).
