Every time I get to one of these milestones, I ask myself if it's time to stop, or keep going. And I always come back to the same conclusion.

Keep posting!

Thanks, FlyerTalk.

gj83 Sep 17, 2009 9:35 pm

If OMNI posts still counted you would have hit this quite some time ago.

goingbananas Sep 17, 2009 11:30 pm

Hear...Hear!!! keep them posting!!! Maybe I can +1 join you in Singapore for the DO in Jan :)

schley Sep 18, 2009 3:29 am

I noticed your post count a couple weeks ago and was trying to keep an eye on it like you wouldn't notice since you post so much. I guess you noticed and congrats on your longevity and productivity in FT.

No, I wouldn't have. I have a grand total of 28 OMNI posts. I'm actually surprised it's that many, but most of those threads probably originated in another forum and were moved to OMNI.

DownUnderFlyer Sep 21, 2009 12:03 am

Congratulations! And I am glad that OMNI doesn't count anymore.

doc was the first FTer to exceed 40k posts and may have also been the first to hit the 25k level. The status seems to be permanent.

Jenbel Sep 21, 2009 4:03 am

Guys, the topic is not OMNI posts and whether they count or not. I've deleted some more posts where the writer seems to think that it is. The topic is mahasamatman and his amazing contribution to FT ^

Any more discussion of OMNI post count policies will result in disciplinary action being taken. Consider this a friendly warning. As a gentle guide, if you find yourself writing 'Randy' or 'policy' in a post, you're probably going off topic ;)

Those of you with 25K+ posts have GOT to get a life outside of FT. Oh, and sleeping a few hours a night wouldn't hurt either.:p

I appreciate the jest but speaking for myself I have more of a life because of FT and all the connections I've made over the years. :)

Point well made.

JDiver Mar 14, 2011 8:53 pm

Well, it DID take some years - probably my age, late 60's - between traveling, operating my own business, lots of scuba diving and community involvement (and generally 8 hours of sleep a night). May we interest you in some time management coursework? :D ;)

Ref. tcook052, above. :)

That's also how I stumbled upon FT almost a decade ago. Congrats on the milestone and keep it up! ^
