Looking fwd to this weekend a lot

And for any SYD FTers who would like to attend, there is some discussion happening on twitter regarding sampling the delights of the IC minibar on Saturday evening , so if you can't make dinner or want to front up again ;) as well... all welcome just don't get me thrown out of the IC on my first RA stay :D

We had a very enjoyable dinner at Phuong last night - an eight course banquet for $27ea (USD$22ish) for four of us. Everyone enjoyed the meal. Even if you don't like all eight courses, you'll like most.

If everyone's okay with the banquet, then we won't have troubles splitting the bill. Either way, you have the option to join or not join the banquet (which has a min. 4 ppl).

We ate outdoors (really, it's shielded in 3 directions so it's not very exposed) and although it was supposed to be windy, we didn't catch any cold weather/squalls. The large outdoor heaters are still out there and available in the event that we can move outdoors and someone feels the cold.

I booked a table on 9/11 indoors - but will try to have the option open for outdoors if it's great outdoor weather. The owner is great and she's always treated us extremely well. The waiters are terrible - their main talent is just bringing out orders; I'll take care of the rest and they'll be fine just bringing out the food.

Did I mention the food was great, quick to arrive and that we had a great night? We had a chat about this upcoming dinner and we think you'll like this place.

We also had some really delicious icecreams from an institution in Crows Nest.

$27pp for 8 courses sounds like a good deal. Count me in (unless you meant $27 per course) for 8 courses...

Noelene: our weather in SYD has been amazing ^. Really warm days, sometimes as high as 26 degrees C lately :D. Also added Upperdeck744 as a maybe.
