The first time I was ever in chat the only other person there was Randy Peterson. I had no idea what to say so I left immediately.

I have been back after meeting other FTers who said that it could be fun. It seems to follow east coast news time though. Having lived in the midwest for so long I can no longer conceive of the news coming on at 11pm - I'm midway through my night's sleep.

I tried entering FT Chat tonight and it was up and running :) For those who were unaware, FT Chat has been non-functioning for at least a couple of weeks.

I didn't have any issues with it in the 2 times I went into the room. Each session lasted about 10 minutes until I logged off. However, another chatter apparently got booted/lost connection when I was in the room, so I guess we'll have to see how FT Chat treats other people tonight to get a better idea if it is running okay. I am crossing my fingers that FT chat is somewhat reliable tonight. It's been a long time since I've been able to talk miles, points, etcetera ;)
