UAL4life, markbach what do you prefer?

N334AA

I should probably make a reservation tomorrow, so speak up now.

SanDiego1K will be the undisputed authority on Eden Gardens. I defer to her.

Having said that, in my opinion the three places all have their points, but Fidel's has the salsa mas fina and would get my vote based on that.

Not a problem! We'll count you in to make sure you have a place to sit, and if you have to work we'll miss you.

SanDiego1K voted for Fidel's and didn't mention the other two, so I think we have a winner.

Fidels is always a winner for us. We often take international guests here. Here are some reviews.

sdcarver, I hope you come. It would be a pleasure to meet you at last.

Hmmm...we live nearby and thought Fidel's food was barely mediocre the one time we were there ten years ago. Slow service, too. It was highly recommended and we were so disappointed.

Agreed, but I haven't been there in years either, so am willing to give it another try. The other suggestions were split, one vote for each location, and there seemed to be sort of a consensus on Fidel's.

So we have:

Sunday March 8, 6:30 pm
Fidel's Little Mexico

607 Valley Ave.
Solana Beach, CA 92075
(Eden Gardens in Solona Beach, not Carlsbad location)
858-755-5292

Who's coming:

dhammer53
drobbbva
hiyo and Shirley
lili
LLM
markbach
N334AA
SanDiego1K and George
sdcarver

Sending regrets:

AAstang09 - on a pub crawl in PB
foady - in Sydney right now
GreenFireflyer - in San Francisco this weekend
holmedown - doesn't get back in town until Tuesday
Mr. lili - hunkering down with House reruns
UCBeau - unable to make it
UAL4life - sends his regrets
wrxmom - can't quite make it, arrives SAN about 8 pm

Since we are 12-plus expect one check, 18% gratuity, 7.75% tax split evenly.
Please bring large appetites and small bills.

After more than 2 years in SD, its about time I start to participate. I live close to downtown so can pick someone up at the airport if need be.

Great! Would you PM markbach who needs a ride, or Mark, would you PM drobbva?

We look forward to meeting you, drobbva. VA as in Virginia? Dr, as in OB? and sdcarver another new one to our group. Wood, stone, meat? Sorry, every village has an idiot and I handle the SAN area. BTW, lili means absolutely nothing.

See you all on Sunday!

Hope my vote still counts. Fidels. I have to trust hiyo when it comes to Mexican food.
