NYE in Baltimore
Good evening, FTers. I'm posting to announce my whereabouts on NYE and invite others to join in. I was trying to chose between FL and the DC area and the former won out due to substantial difference in air fare. One of my best friends owns a bar in Charles Village and I'm planning on attending their party. This probably isn't something that you'd want to trek across the country for, but I encourage locals to stop by. (I'll post details via PM/email or perhaps, in this thread itself, if there is sufficient interest.)

Hey,
My Caribbean plans got canceled at the last minute, now headed to Baltimore (to visit the 'rents) instead.
So far I have no New Years plans, and would definitely be interested in meeting up with some people if you'll have me

Hi, again. Upon further thought, I see little harm in posting the name of the establishment:
The Den
While there are things I dislike about it (a bit too fru-fru), barring any unforeseen circumstances, there's a 100% chance that I'll be there.
Anyway, I encourage others to show up. You might want to send me an email (PM box only has 4 slots left and I'm too lazy to change that) so I can identify you and help you avoid the cover (if there is one).

I'll be at my sister's party in Eldersburg or I might have been tempted. Of course, I would likely end up on a pub crawl through Fell's Point if I made it to the city so not so sure I would catch up with anyone

Hmm, might have to include 2 more on the list, I was going to do NYE at the American Legion in Severna Park, but this looks much better!

Update: The official price is $50, but I can get any of you in for $40. Moving on in the same direction, I can probably get the price down even lower because the goal is to "just have fun". That having been said, my friend (the owner) has asked me to use the "sub $40" card in an extremely conservative manner because that is his break-even point. The $40 includes all booze that you consume during the course of the night, which makes it a nice deal in comparison with the places downtown (where $40 just gets you in the door).
In any event, I encourage any of you that might be able to attend to email me (no PM) so I can put you in the $40 column. What's more, I've been authorized to approve a small number of sub-40 entries. So, if you feel that 40 is too much, simply email me and I'll see what I can arrange. That having been said, please realize that this party aspires to be a net-zero for the bar... and the bar owners are affected by the current financial meltdown as the rest of us.
