26 / intermediate
the best part is when your non ft friends ask you for advice and give up listening half way through your answer because you just start on about QF/AA, RDU/MEL, J/C, AVOD/IFE etc...:D |
27 & prob. advanced

This Q. is probably best discussed in our CommunityBuzz forum. Please follow it there for further discussion. Ocn Vw 1K, Moderator, TravelBuzz.

25, Advanced...you don't actually have to wait 30 to put up weight.Just starting working, sitting in front of a pc 12/14 hrs a day, and quitting any sport, will do it!
|
Isnt FT a sport? Ok I put on a few pounds too. Thought was due to our having kids now and being a stay at home dad for a spell. or, being lazy now or... chocolate? :D and PC useage for 12-14 hrs a day... etc
ANYWAY, so far, the ROUGH average age here is: 31 and yes, no experts yet but that's cuz everyone is humble and knows there's always something to learn. :D I will do the rough average again later and make more comments about whatever else. So far so good! |
What's the point of this thread?
The "older" people aren't going to reveal their ages. The "dumber" people aren't going to admit to being "dummies." I think the results of this informal poll will be basically meaningless. @:-) |

I didn't lie about mine and 40+ others seemed to like it til it got moved to this neck of the woods. (was originally posted in TravelBuzz cuz when I see people flying I always wonder if they are on FT) Oh well.  |
27 intermediate and i thought i was one of the young ones on FT. But i guess not! :)

Why wouldn't older people say their age? Lying about it or pretending they are younger, certainly won't change anything.
I am darned proud of being such a healthy, active 63 year-old, and of having such a studly 65 year-old boyfriend/travel partner/husband. We plan to traipse around the world, exploring, playing, and burning miles and points for another, three decades or more. Like others have said, however, there is so much to learn, that I doubt that even at the end, will we call ourselves experts. ;) IMHO, "Advanced" is having enough knowledge to always makes sure you sit in first (even on cheap tickets), getting upgraded to beautiful suites on a regular basis (even on cheap rates), and always having more miles, points and upgrades than you really need. You got that, and life is good. ^ |
17 and I dunno what skill level. It's all relative, isn't it?

Novice - Don't know Jack Intermediate - Have heard of Jack and studied a concept or two of his, but still wonder what it's all about Advanced - Have met Jack and picked up some decent chops from him, but still strive to be more like him. Occasionally, Jack may defer to you for some lesser important gigs Expert - You are Jack As for me: 32y/o. In my work, advanced, but find it boring/less challenging as time goes on, so I'm leaving it for something that classifies me as waay novice. As for downhill skiing, I like to think I'm advanced, and can play with the big boys, but I'm probably more intermediate |

...and I can't believe that some people have been on FT since they were 14! |

No, actually it's all very scientific like, as laid out by the world famous quantum phisicist, Dr. Jack S.:

Like some others I know enough to get by pleasantly/happily/comfortably. Can teach you something and always can learn something. As my sig line use to say "You can learn a lot from one who does it right and even more from one who doesn't. |
