Thought I would start a separate thread to announce a "Farewell to Cite" Dinner:

Date: Friday, March 9
Time: 8pm
The place: Cite on West 51st Street
Reservation under: Mark Blanchard (my non FT identity ;) )

I reserved a table of TEN but will adjust as necessary.

I would love to check out Cite before it closes, but I'm not sure this night works. My cousin is coming into town that night, but I don't think she lands til about nine. I'll have to figure out the details. Can you list me as a maybe?

Actually March 9th is a bit of a problem, but I'll try to get out of my prior engagement for that night, because a Catman-do, even if it's not in Katmandu, is simply more important.:eek:

OT: FOR WHAT RATIONAL REASON IS IT NOW IMPOSSIBLE TO GET TO LONDON NON-STOP FROM NEW YORK CITY ON STAR ALLIANCE?:mad:

At the conclusion of the Brooklyn Reality Tour #1 in 2001, we headed to Cite for the last of the most famous CatmanDo's.

Message for you and dhammer and anyone else... this March 9 event does NOT have to be the last Cite dinner. If doable we can plan something else. Cite has hosted a number of FT events.... I think we can squeeze in one or two more.

Not gonna make it. Can we change the date to something I can make?

I wish I could be there but I'll be in either SYD/HKG/DPS while the DO is going on (I'm not good with time zones).

I'd definitely like to be there. :) Please put me on the "maybe" list - we'll see how the travel schedule that week works out.

Mary2E... what we need to do is coordinate dates and plan something. FYI: because of the Cat sitting business I"m mostly grounded for the year so I have little travel (which is purrfectly fine with me.)

But, Sorry, the date can't be changed But check out an earlier post below... this does NOT have to be the one and only farewell to Cite dinner. Other Flyeratlkers can plan their own farewell to Cite events.

It's also not a DO (until we get 12 guests) or a CATMAN DO. The last one in 2001 was the best and I"m not topping that.

Rich G... it's been too long! THanks for the great post and don't you miss the EWR-LHR UA flights out of Newark. You reminded me of something else that I loved that was taken away. :(

Next thing you know PEPSI will go out of business and I'll have to drink... EEK... COKE!

OK. I'll schedule another dinner at Cite when convenient for me, but before they close. I wonder if that will, in fact, be the "final FT Cite dinner"... ;)
