What a great dinner! What great company! Maybe next time Catman will be able to join us...

Such a lovely evening! It killed me that I could not indulge in the wine dinner, but I (messily) enjoyed my mussels frites nonetheless.

So great to meet everyone and look forward to seeing you all again!

It was a truly excellent evening and wonderful to meet all of you and see old friends again. Hope to see you all again soon.

A terrific dinner, as soon as we got the seating logistics out of the way. :) This really was an excellent group, most of whom were new to us but a few old friends did show up. As usual after one of those all you can drink evenings, it was unsteadiness time in the morning, but it all shook out after a while.

Really sorry about no Catman but we will sure see him soon.

I know I missed out but, again, when you are running a business the clients have to come first.

Sounds like you all had a great time. Hey, you had a better substitute for me: the beautiful Cozamel Jen! :)

I ended up finishing much later than I expected (around 10pm.) I had one client who was scheduled to be home call me about 630p to say her flight was cancelled and as a backup if I could go see her Oscar. I can't say to her or any other Cat clients "oh, sorry, can't see you cat. I'm going to go drink wine all night!" ;)

This delayed client is potentially going to be one of the top five business wise this year.

The other thing is I can't just go in, dump food, maybe scoop the litter box and leave. I spend time with the Cat clients. Some of my clients end up going to me because of other pet sitting services who are in and out.

If I didn't have to work my "regular" job I could have made Cite. But such is life. At least I had no unsteadiness in the morning! ;)

I"m sure I'll see you all sooner or later - Soup Do 4.

Plus, I'm going to Cite later this month so I'll get a chance to toast the place at least one more time!

From checking out the NYC thread in the travel section seems another Smith and Wollensky restaurant is offering the wine dinner (in memory of Cite:)

http://www.maloneyandporcelli.com.

I have not been to this restaurant so it would be interesting to see how it would measure up to the legendary Cite.

OMNI: My friends and I enjoyed our wine dinner there a few nights before the closing. I told the managers it's going to be a big loss (at least for me.) We had a great time and I told my friends (non Flyertalkers) of the great dinners including the Catman DO Trois and showed them just how much of Cite we Flyertalkers took up for that.
