FlyerTalk is really coming through for you! You are 33 votes in the lead with 7 minutes left.

Dovster Jan 11, 2007 1:05 am

It is after midnight, you are 34 votes in the lead, but apparently the polls haven't closed yet.

Well, it should be over now. Straight from the website:

Vote for the Best Photo
of the Year 2006
VOTING ENDS: midnight Jan. 10th.

It has to be PST, unless they're really crazy and mean midnight at the international date line... which would mean another 4 hours.

God bless each and every one of you that voted! :D

For some reason, votes continue to be taken. Wonderful.

The webpage might say that voting ends at midnight but they might not abide by what they say. Perhaps it will end when the person in charge of this promotion strolls in to work, checks the website, and says, photo #xxxx has the most number of votes, that's the winner!

Given that they're still accepting votes, I'd encourage people to continue voting for the next day, or until a winner is announced.

That might not be a bad idea. The OP has gone up in votes (is currently 42 ahead) but we have seen how quickly a large lead can disappear.

Well, I don't want to sound over-confident... but judging by the comments (most of which are incredibly stupid) and whatnot, it appears as though they have conceded defeat. I guess more voting wouldn't hurt, though. Now, if the page isn't changed by tomorrow morning... let the conspiracy theories begin. :P

The site is still taking votes (as of 6:44 am EST).

You're up by 37.

cpx Jan 11, 2007 6:43 am

I'll punch in a few votes now. I really hope it ends soon.. while we have the lead.

freeloader Jan 11, 2007 7:17 am

back at work... i'll rally some different co-workers.

hopefully jones will end this when they open there offices today (probably 11-noon EST). I'm running out of ways to vote

cpx Jan 11, 2007 7:37 am

I've pushed it past 2485 today... vs 2419

Peetah Jan 11, 2007 10:07 am

If voting is still open later tonight, I'll make a Starbucks run with my laptop to "stuff" the ballot. ;)

cpx Jan 11, 2007 10:38 am

Voting is still open it seems....

is it Jan 10 this year?

lmz00 Jan 11, 2007 12:03 pm

Good question... what the hell is going on?!

Dovster Jan 11, 2007 12:09 pm

We still have some Omni members voting and I just got in another one but we are only 59 ahead.

Are you sure the vote counting is taking place on the Left Coast and not Florida?

lmz00 Jan 11, 2007 12:17 pm

[Their] main page says that the voting ends midnight on Jan. 10th (I'm assuming 2007). It's already the 11th in every time zone in the world... either whoever runs the website is extremely lazy, or something fishy is going on.
