I wonder what the counts will look like in the morning...

FT is up by 56 (1918 vs 1862)

lmz00 Jan 9, 2007 10:05 pm

It BETTER be tonight! >:o So I'm guessing it's PST after all.

I hope so.. I'm done for the night... will carry my notebook computer and
cell phone with me to work if additional votes needed tomorrow.. but I hope I dont have
to lug it with me.

I just gave it one "good morning" vote. This put the OP in the lead by 60 (1922 - 1862).

As any American History buff can assure you, it is much better to be in the Roaring '20s than in the Civil War.

Damn it, it didn't end. :(

Tomorrow is gonna be a LONG day.

Europeans -- you can sew this whole thing up now.

It looks like the F/Ters in the Western Hemisphere did a very good job before going to bed. The OP is now ahead by 71 votes.

Still, we shouldn't get over-confident. Let's not forget that at one point his competition had an 80 vote lead.

I think that if Europe votes big today, by the time they wake up in the States (where most of the My Space members live) this can be in the F/T bag (or checked luggage).

Italians, put down your espresso and start voting.

French, it is 9 am in Paris. You can stop making love now -- at least long enough to vote.

Germans, you have plenty of time before getting your lunchtime beers to vote.

Scandinavians, it is January and much too cold to go outside -- so stay at home and vote.

I agree. I think it means when January 10th ends, not when it begins.

just voted, GL!

Nice photo - definitely my favourite of the bunch. 6655 is neat but I have seen the same composition before.

Votes are currently standing at 1941 for OP in first place ^ with 1860 votes for # 6007 in second place.

Good luck.

She's catching up - FT is only 47 votes ahead.

Voted - will check when I get to work to see if more are needed - our computer lab has hundreds of IP addresses ;)

The OP's lead was slipping badly and I didn't know what the situation would be by the time you get to Phoenix, so I slipped in another 8 votes and got him up to a round 40 in the lead.

All these are long distance phone calls as my dial up provider is in Tel Aviv -- about 110 miles away. Normally, I would be scared of the phone bill but my daughter wiped out my Visa card so badly this evening buying perfume and clothing that the phone tab will be the least of my problems.

the lead was pretty big this morning.. so I didn;t bring my cellphone/laptop to work, but I'll try agaain tonight from home and will add another 2-3 dozen votes.

I really hope this ends tonight...

freeloader Jan 10, 2007 12:37 pm

voted again... but we are losing ground, only up 32...will stop at some libraries on the way home.

come on everybody, only a few more hours... toss in a few more votes so we can finish this off

By the time I got on there we were only up by 19 votes. I decided to bring it to 30 but it took me twice as many votes as I had expected -- the bad guys were matching me almost vote for vote.

I left us in the lead 1987 to 1957. (lmz00, if I ever make it down your way, you are going to owe me a mess of hominy grits, hush puppies, and all that other weird stuff you Southerners eat!)

IMHO, there is no way that 1987 is going to be enough to win this thing. CPX, freeloader, jan_az, and all you others are going to have to keep working your magic to sew this thing up.
