Now lowly 2P for '07; DO announcement soon!

As of this morning UA posted my latest flight, so with 26,975 BIS/EQM miles (one and the same for me), I'm now officially lowly 2P for 2007!
Obviously that calls for a celebration... check this space for my official DO party in the next couple of weeks. Most likely a 62 mile bike ride, which will earn about 6200ft in climbing, the classic 1k ft of climbing per 10 miles of riding (kinda like how you evaluate RDMs at .01/mile to see if it's a good deal or not... this will be a good ride if you like hills).

Probable route will start in Woodside, Old LaHonda, down 84 to LaHonda, over Haskins Grade to Pescadero, Stage Road and return via Tunitas Creek.

lowly 2P forever!
(Something that only a lowly 2P would ever brag about... :D)

2008? Do you mean for 2007?

Thanks, fixed it! My bad. Either that or I'm creating a new lifetime category of lowly 2P... don't know what bad things you have to do to get stuck there. :D

Congratulations!

Just an fyi for when you have your DO ready to announce.... All DOs are to be announced in the Community Buzz forum.

We'll all look forward seeing it.

Thanks, some things I'm still new & naive about. I've seen all the DO announcements in sigs, didn't realize they were put anywhere else. Heck, I don't even know what "DO" means, just an idea of what it is! But sounds like I'd better ask in Community Buzz, not here! ;)

Congrats, Mike... ^

Congrats! Both my husband and I will hit 2007 lowly 2P status after labor day with a trip to Texas! My husband is a big biker so I may make him do the bike ride and just meet up with everyone afterwards for the drinks. We are across the Dumbarton from you so will look for the annoucement in Community Buzz.

Congrats, Mike! Looks like you're also signed up to be the doyen of the lowly 2P's for another year as well!

Instead of booze and sushi, I am guessing at your DO there will be Clif Bars and Odwallas for all ;)

I assume a Clif Bar is considered solid enough to travel with. I also assume that my energy gels must stay at home... :(

Nah, there's a killer General Store/Bakery at Pescadero (on the coast) that has pastries to die for! You thought bicycling was all about healthy (or even faux healthy) eating? No way! :D

Mike... you have mail. ;)

Great route - I love to drive those roads or ride 'em on my motorcycle.

Tunitas is getting a little bumpy these days ... could use a repaving.

The gate lice will be sorely disappointed. ;)

They were counting on your return to their ranks. :p

What does DO mean? I see it in BJ's posts all the time

From the Glossary (under Help above):

"DO (or DOO): A widely used term for larger FlyerTalker get togethers/parties in the Community Buzz Forum. In general the term is reserved for larger gatherings of 12 of more members"
