Is anyone in Colombo on July 3, and interested in getting together for dinner?

I really like The Gallery Cafe. It is the former home/office of the great Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa. It has indoor/outdoor dining, an interesting menu, and offers a very relaxed atmosphere. It also has a small shop with some of the great merchandise from its sister store (and my favorite in Colombo), Paradise Road.

The former offices of legendary architect Geoffrey Bawa (his old work bench is now a table in the bar) it has all Bawa’s air-and-space design touches. A black-tiled pond bubbling with black catfish marks the gallery entrance....

D*mn! Not enough time for me to get to CMB and back without too much 'headache'.....I'm only doing the 30 hour turn and then its back to the saltmines!! Sorry I'll miss you, guess we'll have to catch up in LHR! :D
