This is really a community forum question, but:

First, welcome to FT!!!!! ^

Second, it's a get-together of FlyerTalkers!

Third, there are some extensive threads on this question. I'm sure someone will post a link soon.

Hey there!

Check out the FLL DO (Called Fort Liquordale Do ) and you will see a couple posts about what happens at our GAY Do's.

Welcome to FlyerTalk, Greg!

Somewhere in the mists of FlyerTalk history, every organized get-together began to be called a "Do." I'll move this over to the Community Forum which is the home of all our Dos and they can probably educate us on the history of the term!

Thanks

Not a silly question at all -- indeed a natural one for a new member to pose. For that reason, answers to many recurring questions about our Community are collected in a master thread that is "stuck" near the top of this CommunityBuzz list of threads. The particular thread which will answer your question at length is at http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=480017.

As the above thread is so comprehensive, I'll close this one now, with the hope that you will be able to join -- or even host -- a FT 'do in the future. Ocn Vw 1K, Co-Moderator, CommunityBuzz
