How???

I would like to dial in my location, but can't find the link to do that. I can hone in on my street address with the zoom function, but the "bubble" is not even close.

You have to be registered and have your current entry associated with your registration. Assuming that is the case then you just go to the add yourself form and click on "edit location".

If not - then go register. If you can't work out how to register and associate your existing entry with the registration then just PM me and I'll delete your current entry so you can just add register & yourself together.

Let's get everyone on this map. The Great Plains aren't very well represented.

There's a good reason for that, indufan.
The Great Plains are mainly populated by buffalo and the random antelope. :p

Correction: bison, not Buffalo.

Buffalo is in western New York state.

I'm in - check out Littleton, MA 01460 - but I'm actually in Seoul. I just own a house in Littleton and I get to visit once in awhile.

I am surprised I was the first to post in Colorado, the great state that is home to FlyerTalk. ^

HSaxa Nov 30, 2005 11:53 am

Jet2K Dec 19, 2005 11:22 am

Just joined, 129 members and counting

NYCQuaker Dec 19, 2005 12:01 pm

Just added myself...

...would be neat if we could get a majority of members on this thing.

Kiwi Flyer Dec 19, 2005 2:25 pm

Yes it would be neat. But I'd be very surprised.

The Where We All Live thread and its predecessor have been going for 2 years and have "only" 616 FTers listed at present.

holmedown Dec 19, 2005 4:31 pm

Just added myself in the south west UK

FlyingBlue70 Dec 20, 2005 9:09 am

Where are the European FT'ers?

I'm the first Dutch person on the map. Come on European FT'ers, where are you?! Way too many Americans on this map.

I'm pretty new to FlyerTalk but I thought I'd give this a try. I'm in there now, and it looks like there are a couple of other folks within walking distance. Too bad everyone isn't in it! It would be fascinating to see the true layout.

mjm Jan 18, 2006 7:27 pm

Tokyo is now represented on the map too.

Mike :)

SlowTrekker Jan 18, 2006 8:39 pm

Orlando is now here.

dba Jan 19, 2006 5:27 am

Isn't there some way to do the map semi-automatically using the primary TCP/IP address of registrants (I know there are services that attempt to map TCP/IP addresses to actual physical locations, plus or minus a few miles). Maybe it wouldn't work for everyone but it ought to pick up another few thousand people.

They could be added anonymously until they agreed to have their location posted publicly, but it would give folks a better sense of the geographical spread of FTers.
