There will be cancellations, a great many I suspect if name changes aren't allowed. I was told by expedia they are. So losses will surely end up less than we are seeing now. Regardless, someone in the main thread in MR has made a dedicated page that automatically orders us by date, so interested parties may want to check it out. May save this OP some time scouring/ reposting.

I have received word that there is potentially some confusion on the Username/Password requirement of my "Hilton Booking Tracker" tool that the_nomad has added to the first post of this thread.

If you were confused by it or were concerned about passwords, please visit the site again. I have added a disclaimer that I would like everyone concerned to read. I assure you, I only set this site up as a way for everyone to keep track of when others will be staying at the respective hotel properties. I know the sense of community that exists on FlyerTalk and I only wish to help that sense of community grow by creating an easy way for people to know who might be around when they are.

I posted the dislaimer on the site for the booking tracker. Please read it:

Discussion thread about cheap airfares to Japan

Nomad, may I suggest you to edit your initial posting in this thread in order to add this thread, where we can discuss the cheapest airfares/award bookings to Japan! I guess that most of us will be interested in this topic. ^

I'm sure.

BTW, congratulations on reaching 90 posts :D

I see that "Hans Dampf" is booked into both Tokyo & Osaka tomorrow (according to assembled list).
Hopefully we will have feedback soon - I think if this makes some "noise" it works for us & Hilton/Expedia.

Is the party DEAD?

nobody is talking about it anymore?

SchmutzigMSP Nov 8, 2005 7:48 pm

Did you read the USA Today article? Apparently some people are talking about it..

In any case, I updated the "Hilton Booking Tracker" website that I posted about last night. You can now log in and change your dates, change whether you'll be using the reservation, and add a little note or comments to your reservation that might help other people get in contact with you for a meet up.

Please log back in and try it out, and even add a little message to your stay(s). When you do, a little [+] will appear by your name on the list and your name will be highlighted. This means you have entered a message, and others can click on the [+] or your name to reveal your message.

let me know if you have any problems or questions about the site.

So far....
But the final act in this drama hasn't come yet.

Last I heard, I was one of the re-re-re-reconfirmers and am therefore golden, but I have one of those $250 Japan package 2006 coupons in my Expedia account (?).
