Thanks! At HKG RCC now. Good thing I didn't route through NRT this trip as it looks like I would've either been re-routed through HKG anyway or had another night in SIN (what a pity that would have been ;) )

Another UA NRT-SIN flight late arrival? Last June, my in-laws' flight to NRT was delayed for afternoon departure, and UA put them through HKG the next day to secure their I-class...

I had my embarassing moment at BKK. :eek: SQ64 arrived after few flights from Europe I think. So many tourists at the immigration line. BKK has just upgraded their new computer system (per notice in front of the counter). Well, now when you enter Thailand, the officer will take your picture like US Immigration, i.e. webcam. :rolleyes: The officer who took my passport had trouble with my name. She asked my BP and asked me to spelll my name. After taking my pic, she started to examine carefully the first page of my passport. My passport is still an old style, i.e. the information is handwritten. She used the magnifying glass to check it carefully, then called her supervisor. I asked her what's going on, she did not answer. Then the supervisor asked me to follow him. You see all these hundreds people in line, and I was pulled out. Had to walk to one end with hundreds staring eyes. Stood in the corner a while, then the supervisor asked me to follow him again, and tis time to the opposite corner of the hallway. Oops, again hundreds eyes were staring at me. He gave my passport back, and did not say a thing. I asked why, he did not answer.

It's the FTer's true spirit. :D And it was really wonderful to have cawhite and Kiwi Flyer in many of my flights. :)
