Ord 1/15
My partner and I have a 9 hour layover on our way to LHR on Sat. 1/15. We arrive at 12:44PM and depart on AA98 at 10:30PM. We thought we'd go into the city for a late lunch and/or dinner, would anyone like to join us?
We don't know the city very well having only been there once before so any suggestions on where to eat would be welcome.
Thanks!

Dale, there is usually a core Chicago group that needs little or no excuse to get together to eat, assuming they're not on their way to MCO via LAX or some such thing.
Were you thinking of taking the "L" in toward downtown?

Edited because I got the month wrong, I thought you wrote 12/15.
Unfortunately, I won't be available on 1/15 either, just a different reason.

If the "L" is the subway (you can see how often I've been to Chicago!
) then yes we were thinking of taking that into town. Hopefully can leave bags at the AC. I will only have one small one but John can't seem to travel with less than 2 no matter how long the trip is!

Won't be there unfortunately, but if for any reason your flight gets delayed, I have an AA flight at 11am on the 16th.
So close...yet so far
