Found at Gig's Fish Bar and Kebab House, 11 Tottenham St, off Tottenham Ct. Rd. London W1......Worth visiting simply because the guys who run it can't possibly stay in biz that much "longer"....I've been going here well over 20 years,,,,,and I'm jonesing for a doner even as I type... My favorite Indian food in London is Chutney Mary or Veeraswamy. Chutney Mary is in Kensington and Veeraswamy is just off Reagent Street. I think the little street it is on is Swallow Street. Veeraswamy is more traditional, while Chutney Mary is more new Indian. Both are very highly regarded. I suggested Chutney Mary for a do last year and people went and seemed to enjoy it but I didnt make it since I ended up getting snowed in at home. I can try to make a reservation at either. Any idea on what time or how many people? Should I just try 7:30 or 8:00 for 4 and see who shows up? I plan on showing up at the martini bar (Dukes Bar) at 6:00. See some of you there. I will be able to check FT again later today at DFW and on arrival at Gatwick tomorrow morning. Give me a shout!

Gadget Freak - I am willing to try either one. I'd say make a reservation for 8 pm for 4 people.
If you would like to get a hold of me I'll check FT before heading out to ORD at 4. If not I'll be at the Sheraton Belgravia under the last name of Norman. Looking forward to meeting you at Duke's - it's a small enough place (the bar) that we should be able to suss each other out. |
