(For the uninitiated, some of the restaurants on www.opentable.com offer 1,000 points instead of the usual 100, but only at off-peak dining times. If our group were willing and able to eat there at an odd time, like between 4:00 and 6:00 PM or 9:00 and 11:00 PM, the person who booked it would get 1,000 dining points instead of 100. Each 100 points is worth a dollar in future dining credit at ANY Open Table restaurant nationwide.)

It's fun to double-dip by finding restaurants that participate in BOTH Open Table and idine; or triple-dip (?) by finding ones that participate in the 1,000-point Open Table deal and idine. I don't see The Van's in the idine listing, however.

Is there also interest in a south bay dinner this week?

I am staying at the W San Francisco tonight and could meet somewhere in the city if there is any interest. I am currently in San Jose and wouldn't be back in the city till close to 7PM

I am still working tonite, and just read this, so it does not look likely for tonite. Tomorrow my boss has scheduled a team event, so I cant go then either. :( So, next time....

I have never booked on Open Table! OHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I will have to read up on this for next time!
