The Ritz in Orlando. This is a great course but a bit expensive.

We could still use it as a central location -- it's not as if it's not close to Int'l Drive with 200 other hotels with all price ranges. Besides, it looks like the "golf & room" package starts at $230/night which isn't bad (especially since I paid a $225 green fee for the Ocean Course a couple years ago)

Chalk me up for a golf outing. If high score wins I have a chance. I'll be in Myrtle next weekend chasing the ball around.

Tons of courses in Orlando and area. If the destination is ok, I can find all types and prices on courses. Some that aren't well know to out of towners are Black Bear, Timiquan, Disney (3), and others. Let me know what everyone thinks. Sept/Oct is off season.

Well, after Sunday night you know that I really liked Eagle Pines & Osprey Ridge at Disney! Oak Trail is also a nice 9-hole to walk, especially for those new to golf or not wanting to play a full 18 (or pay the green fees for a full 18 at WDW)

I doubt I should join the GolfDo with my score this weekend. 111  but that was with 2 consecutive 10s in a row :td:

How much are WDW green fees?

Anyway, put me down as an interested party.

They have specials in off season. IIRC in Oct, they have specials of about $25-$30.

Current rates (which I believe got through Sept 30) range from $99 (Palm/Mag/LBV) to $109 (Osprey Ridge) & $119 (Eagle Pines). Green fees after 3:00 drop to about $30-35. Oak Trail is $38/15. Those fees are for non-WDW resort guests.

I usually play in Nov & Jan at WDW...and those rates (aside from Oak Trail) aren't reflective of when I've played there.

Central Location..

So I was thinking.....ORD is a hub and pretty central. October may be OK for people? We could find a hotel that may give us a group rate. MCO is nice but not central.
I am open for any place.
OK now let us discuss.
Jon
BTW I am a high handicap golfer also.
This should be open to all FT's of any skill level, even non golfers.

Personally, ORD as a golf destination doesn't really do it for me. Sorry. . .

I'm still voting for either North or South Carolina. Beautiful courses, good weather, and loads of other things for non-golfers to do (not to mention great food and beer ;) )

BDLORD Jun 13, 2004 8:32 am

OK, so lets vote on the Carolinas. Anyone object? How do we put together a poll?
