I managed to get an extension on my mandatory attendance at Lead-Foot School so I will be there.

The Talented Artist, Jerrie will not be there as she is doing another art show.

I will be in Reno hanging out with family members and therefore won't be able to make it -- this time.

Spiff, you'll just have to come back! ;)

Just found out I have to go to San Fran for a bd mtg today (talk about last minute-notice!), so do you mind if I join in? I depart Sun at dawn to get Sat stay-over.

Since I'm not familiar w/ SF that much (I'm a lemming - walk from hotel to convention center & back) I'll go over to SF Hilton & meet up w/ Spiff to walk over. Will leave message for him at hotel as he's probably on a plane by now.

Or maybe I'll see if I can get cheap rate at same hotel; gotta sort out my hotel next, either Hilton or Marriott brand.

Also, I'm flying into OAK which I've never done before (SFO was just too expensive last minute on UA). I think I've heard BART goes to SF from OAK, but I've never taken it. Anyone have any advice?

Heading to LAX about 5pm, so will check thread before I head out. Beautiful day here in LA; hope it is up north too.

Edited to add: Hope there's some non-seafood Dim Sum available, as I'm allergic to all types. If not, will just drink my lunch (yeah, like that's not happened at an FT event before - I'll consider it training for Dus Do!).
