Virtual JAPAN DO !!!
kpc has reminded me we should have been having welcome drinks at Japan Do this evening (in about 30 minutes to be exact). So let’s hold a virtual Japan Do, not involving a Zoom call but by posting photos or stories of what we might have been doing or what we did during past Japan Dos.

I vividly recall attending the 2013 Tokyo Do and IIRC we enjoyed a visit to HND before the yakatabune dinner. Hard to believe it's been 8 years but that was a special trip as my visit coincided with the peak of cherry blossom Sakura season.

On Easter Sunday during Japan Dos some people set off on their journey home but others join more trips/visits or do their own thing.

Soo many memories. Soo much squid! Soo many "almost missed" connections, including various boat and train rides. Scary how many photos I'm featured in, or my food is ;) Hope 2022 will come to fruition, and I can arrive earlier than 2019. There have been two post-Dos (in addition to Korea Do in 2017 which was a Do in its own right) where some people got to know their fellow FTers in a way they may not have expected! These warnings were posted for those attending the post-Do in 2015.

Folks who came on the post-do trip to Kurokawa Onsen in 2015 may remember we couldn’t go near Mt Aso (or see it for that matter!) due to volcanic activities. Thanks to kpc for reminding me. Here’s a video of an eruption this morning. The beginning of the video is quite dramatic.
