My present went out today. One piece of good advice, if your person is in another country order something from a company that ships to that country. I ordered something for someone in the UK, but had it shipped from the UK and only spent a pound in shipping, vs having to work with customers and overseas mail, etc.

Catwood brought up a great point-- if you send your secret santa pal something you found from a mail order place, how do they know its from their secret santa?

Also, is it tacky to send several little things that may be appropriate rather than one 30 dollar purchase? I sometimes like to open lots of little packages?

IMO, nothing wrong with a multi- or single- part gift.

Happy Holidays.

Santa want to say that ANYTHING GOES this season... One gift? Or ten? Don't feel constrained by the $30 recommendation... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

And remember, you can be secret about yourself... the person does not need to know who you are... that can be part of the fun....

HO HO HO!!!!

For me, I think the postage cost will exceed the actual gift cost. Will find out tomorrow at the post office. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

I am noting the replies sent to me when gifts are sent and will do so when I start to get the replies as gifts are received. It is going very smoothly and I wanted to just say thank you to all that are participating.

Indeed the multiple gift idea can be a fun one. In past some Secret Santas have spaced a few gifts apart by a few days each time. In some cases these were unrelated gifts and in some cases parts of one gift. Single gifts are always good and I even received a gift with a few smaller gifts inside last year. Lots of permutations on the way to play this game. Have fun with it and have a great holiday season.

Wingless,

You need to check your hotmail account.

I sent your assignment to your hotmail address on November 29th and sent it again on December 3rd in response to your email from me.

Not sure how else to get it to you.

Let me know privately if you have another email address to use.

Santa
