I notice that a bunch of you are flying out on Sunday morning 14 Dec on UA961 at 11:10am. I'll keep my eye out for everyone as I will be on that flight also on the back to LAX leg of my mileage run. Little G2 and I will be in Paris, leaving tonight on UA 914 from IAD and returning Sunday the 14th on UA 915. We probably won't stop by since we are spending Saturday at Disneyland and Gamin de Paris doesn't sound too kid friendly, but if you think it's okay for an 11 year old for just a half an hour, post here and let me know.

G2, myself SeeYa, and JayBrian will all be on the Sunday 915 back to IAD, so even if we don't see you in Paris proper, I am sure we'll see you on the way back.

Sorry folks, but the restaurant can't accomodate a party of 16 for dinner on Saturday before 22:30 (Deuxième service).

Anyhow, we're reserved for then under the name "Missy" (who else?).

Right now kidlet and I are on the wailist for C. Our seats are in the second row of E+ unless and untill we get the upgrade. I am 5'8 and blonde, kidlet is 11 years old and brunette. If I can find my flyertalk hat, I will wear it.

Right now there are 14 unassigned seats in C and I called UA and we are on "high priority" on the list. Wish us luck. Where are you guys?

Both Chez Richard and Le Gamin de Paris are kid friendly. And if anyone says anything, I'll give them the rough side of Alan's tongue (not a pretty sight http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif )

The bar just next to Richard, "Les Etages" has some okay tapas should she be hungry, and of course there's always the ice cream parlour (famous for its sorbets) just next to it...

Right then... Anyone figure out what they are doing before 7:30? I haven't been to Paris for years so I wouldn't mind doing some sightseeing. Or will you "slumming" at the hostel all day?

As for shopping, H&M is a must for cool unique clothes at a decent price. And it's on Rue Rivoli which has miles of chic shops.

As for shopping. . .do not pass up Monoprix! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif The "Target" of Paris. Great stuff at excellent prices.

Rue deCler market on Saturday is also enjoyable (in the 7th) for those looking for chocolates they have a JosBruges store there.

And for the women who can't get enough cosmetics/skin products, Caudalie is 1/2 the price in Paris as it is here in the States.

Yes! I bought one of my favorite shirts at the Champs Elysees Monoprix for 5 Euro. The store may be full of useless junk, but there is usually at least one thing that you need and you'll get a great price.

UA has been very good to me. SFO-CDG was full Friday, and I got an op up to F. Is this a "double upgrade", as I upgraded to C with SWU? My first trip in international F - I could get used to this. (Double status miles too!) I'm at the Cyberc@fe de Paris, 15 rue des Halles, getting in from the rain. They have "normal" keyboards.

I'm sorry I couldn't come tonight due to personal matters, that's too bad :-(
