Vodka DO 2?
After the resounding success for the first Vodka DO (7 survivors), it'd be cool to try again somewhere else. What about Red Square in Vegas in the fall/winter? Would anyone else like to jump in and try another 12 countries?

I'll defnitely do Vegas ...
|
I didn't try the 1st twelve but I am all for trying the 2nd twelve. I don't want to wait till winter though. How about early September?

Having this event in Vegas would rock!!!
I plan on being in Vegas Labor Day weekend and the weekend between Christmas and New Years. I am heading to Vegas this weekend so I will check out the ammenities (i.e. Vodka menu) at Red Square. |
On behalf of markbach, I recommend that we make it a "Tequila-DO" instead. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif |

I would suggest the next Vodka DO be in Moscow. I volunteer as translator.
If there is to be a Tequila DO (and I think there should) then it should be Mexico. Sorry, my Spanish is too poor to be a translator. |
Vodka DO 3 should be in Russia. Vodka DO 4 should be in Sweden or Finland.
|
And Vodka Do 5 in Poland? (Okay, I really just want pierogies) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif
That being said, I'm up for Vegas. Although considering the crowd that has posted to this thread so far I'm a little scared.... |

I would enjoy being an interested spectator for this event. Might be more fun watching than actually drinking. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Whatever happened to that Vodka bar underground next to the NY subway, somewhere around 54th or 57th Street?!? Would be a good place and with difficulties of driving there, it is an easy stagger over to the trains home. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

I checked out Red Square in Las Vegas.
It seems like a pretty happening place...about 20 countries, 150 types of Vodka's on the menu and the food looked good too. Judging from the ORD Vodka DO we were all quite alive afterwords, so we can either stagger next door to Rumjungle or one of the other happening Vegas post-midnight venues. |
I'd be up for Vegas. This could be a good first DO. However, can we avoid the labor day weekend. (I have a wedding to go to).
Definately sounds like it could be fun. Nathan |
Whats it going to be Nick??
Vegas Baby! |
Yippee!!! A Vegas DO! If I am in town, I will be there! I do not drink much, but I will definately enjoy being able to put faces with names!

Originally posted by DisgruntledGoat: Halloween weekend - Oct 30 - Nov 2? since it is a holiday weekend has anyone checked hotel prices for that weekend? I am sure most of the clubs around the city will be doing something special for the holiday. |

How about September 26-28?
Actually most hotels haven't released there fall deals yet so the best hotel rates are yet to be known, but at first glance the hotel prices seem pretty reasonable for this weekend. [This message has been edited by prncess674 (edited 06-02-2003).] |
Vegas for Halloweeen would be fun http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Vegas at Halloween is a blast. Is it actually considered a holiday weekend?
|
It is by some people... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

I am planning on being in Vegas for Labor Day weekend, but any reason to get out there again soon thereafter would be most welcome http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
I agree with the others...Halloween, because it's right on the weekend this year, should be alot of fun. |
I've been in Vegas for Halloween before and it is very fun. People tend to act even more weird than normal when they are in costume! ... that being said, count me in http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif
|
Halloween is Nevadas statehood day! Sounds perfect!
|
Halloween in Vegas definitely sounds like a fun idea http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Originally posted by DisgruntledGoat: Oct 30-Nov 2 weekend? Hmm, I will definitly need a Vegas fix before then but Halloween, Vodka, Vegas, and FlyerTalkers will definitly be a potent combination. Do we need to dress up on the 31st? |
Will we recognize the original Vodka Do'ers by their "I survived VD" Luggage tags??
