WooHoo! All my upgrades cleared on all segments.

It is not too late to still join in the fun.

So much for that itinerary ... lensman called me earlier to let me know "taxi challenges" made him miss his flight! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

He'll be in MCO around 8:00 PM now ...

Alright, alright...

I actually made it!
5/23 NW 799 EWR-MEM 225P-410P
5/23 NW 960 MEM-MCO 510P-804P
5/26 NW 959 MCO-MEM 710P-809P
5/26 NW 798 MEM-EWR 920P-1256A

So after an eventful rescheduling, I made it into MCO at 8pm. Beckles was curbside waiting to pick me up in his red Mitsubishi Outlander. Oh, I should mention that I got my upgrades on the two segments. I love NW for the ease of upgrading. On the EWR-MEM leg, I had my choice of Spinzels and almonds. On MEM-MCO I chose the corned beef sandwich over the cold pasta plate. I thought the cheesecake was decent.

We headed over to the Hard Rock and picked up Rachel. We agreed to get some bar food, but after searching in vain for a Thai restaurant, we settled on Cafe Tu Tu Tango on I-Drive. Actually, it was Giovanni's idea. Then back to the the Royal Pacific Hotel for a couple of drinks before saying goodbye to Giovanni, dropping Rachel back at the HRH, and checking in to the Residence Inn.

Well ... I was pretty confident we'd end up eating dinner on Saturday and Sunday night ... shows how much I know!

As it turned out, some adult beverages and a few pretzels is all we ended up having for "dinner" on Sunday night ...

I finally made it home on Monday night ... my flight was delayed by almost two hours due to a mechanical problem, but they swapped in an International 767 on the flight and I talked my way into an upgrade to Envoy on my coach award ticket, which I then used to secure a $15 meal voucher for dinner (50% higher than if I had still been assigned to coach).

I had also a rerouting going home. I didn't quite make it home until after 1AM. Of course, my trip didn't involve airplanes on monday, just an invitation to a nice jacuzzi here in Orlando. Now, about those adult beverages....Nah, I prefer to wait for the trip report http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif.

Talk about trip reports......we are waiting!!!

My Sunday morning flight on a CRJ down to PBI had a whopping 3 passengers on board! A quick hop that left & arrived early thanks to that quick boarding process. I'm on my way to CA tomorrow morning.

It was great to meet all of you. Thanks to Beckles for his tips on the best way to see the parks (that Universal Express stuff was excellent) and hints for the MIB ride http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Cheers.
