Hell yes!

Here's an idea. (I know, I know: dream on!) We could rent a suite at the Marriott or Hilton or wherever, esp. if we could find one that had a nice big plasma set, and hold a Do over a weekend so we could see a game or two. Spreading the cost among enough FTers and it becomes somewhat of a possibility ...

No flames please. It's just a thought. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

But at the very least we could commandeer a nice big table at Champions Sports Bar.

That is an awesome idea! I can probably get a special deal at the Radisson becuase I do a lot of community functions and events there. They may even have a big screen/projector style screen available on site. If they don't have a TV, I know that a 16x20' screen is only $180 and we can project a TV image on to it with a digital projector.

Y'all are getting together to watch the Lakers right?

Okay, now we're cooking! What can I do to help? I'm happy to schlep enough Black Butte Porter to keep newself quiet while the Kings drill the Lakers senseless. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

And more importantly http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif since it looks like multiple trips to SMF could be in my near future, can anyone help me maximize segments so I can requalify for 1P next year? Keep in mind that I'm back in student (read: poor) mode and hope that I can capitalize on the usual $78 PDX-SMF fares less the gobs of 15% off certs I have in my stash.

Paging trvl4free and crankyusi! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Dallas, the Queens, and soon the Jailblazers! Who is next?

TravelManKen: Fortunately, as both of us know, there is a whole beautiful wonderful and satisfactory world outside of FT, i.e. the real world http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

No wars, dictatorships or bad people can steal the fantastic smell and beauty of a flower.

2000th post

I just wanted my 2000th post to be posted in Community. This post came faster than I would have ever thought. Thanks to FT and all the FTers out there for my first 2000 posts. Now on to 3000. Thanks.

And a few points on the "who's going to post next on OMNI?" thread.

Congrats RobotDoctor.

Yes a huge congrats. This is a (mile)stone that I have not even acheived yet. The best part is that you acknowledge all the other FTers with this honor. As you say, on to 3,000 - though I hear the next thousand or two are always much easier than the first 2,000.

Congrats to Randy! I had missed it but he's at 2005 posts http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Randy Petersen Sep 23, 2003 5:02 pm

Actually, it's not an honor I'm proud of - the last 20+ posts have had to deal with avek00, trolls, and language requirements on the CO board. My first 1,000 posts were among those where i felt i could even contribute to FT, the last 1,000 or so have been purely maintenance. Care to trade some post enjoyment?

Thanks for the acknowledgement.
