Okay... I found a receipt.
The restaurant I'm headed to the weekend of 11/1 to 11/3 is Forum Seafood at 42/43/44 Boat Quay. I can't vouch for everything, but the chili crabs and curry prawns that BingoSF and I shared were excellent. If anyone is running that weekend, you will find me there with a pitcher of Tiger.... |

If any of you are up for a short taxi ride if in SIN for longer than the 7hr turn, may I suggest for chilli crab the Hua Yu Wee restaurant on Upper East Coast Road, and for black pepper crab the Lucky View restaurant at the East Coast Seafood Centre.
I used to be a chilli crab fanatic, but after tasting the black pepper crab I now like it at least as much. Cant wait for my return in November.. |
If ya'll want spicy crab, ya gotta go to shanghai. it was all the rage last year.
as for a singapore run, CNY is Feb 1st in 2003, so you may want to plan for or around that. |
I had a FABULOUS time meeting IAH_FLYER and Mrs. IAH_FLYER last night in SIN. We lifted a glass of Tiger and shared some curry prawns and chili crabs at Forum Seafood as well as great satays at a 24-hour hawker market before sharing a cab back to Chiangi.
I hope they had a great 6 am back to NRT. I managed to sweet talk the purser in to opening a bottle of La Grande Dame in C on my SIN-HKG... and now I'm one predeparture drink away from 1K. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif |
