newself's medical update
For all of you that have been asking me to keep them informed of what is happening to me, I just got back from the hospital and here what I know so far.
I had an angiogram yesterday and according to the doctor, my arteries are clear and look like "garden hoses". So that means that the heart wall muscle is thickening and that is what is causing the PVC's. I think the medical term is Cardio Myopthopy and I will have to be on medication. My mom had the same disease when she died 15+ years ago but the advances in medicine are so much greater now.
After the test, Mr. Limo came to pick me up but they wouldn't release me as my BP wouldn't stabilize so I spent the night at the hospital. I am home now and am resting. I get the official results and treatment plan on Thursday afternoon.
So this and my newly diagonosed asthma will probably keep me from making it to the Portland Brew Fest but I am still planning on making it up to Seattle just so Travelweary can buy me all of those Guinness's that she owes me!
Thank you for all of your kind thoughts while I was going through this. Please don't send any cards or gifts but beer is always gladly accepted!

Dave:
Sorry to hear about all of this. Please take care of yourself.
As your Guinness buddy, I gotta tell you I'm happy to hear that beer appears to be a major part of your treatment plan. We'll all do our part at PDX and have an extra one for you and then call you in the middle of the night. Feel better yet?
Seriously, you know your health is way more important than anything we get up to at a Do.
