I am also potentially interested in breakfast at Keeneland (either track kitchen or the trackside breakfast) on Saturday. I don't get into LEX until Friday 10 or 10:30 so no Friday dinner for me in the area.

Googling "Keeneland trackside breakfast" brings up a page mentioning October only. Someone else might double-check.

Maker's Mark bottle signing at Keeneland 4/12/19 early morning. Bring your own bottle(s).

Have sent a PM to all attendees with info on the Saturday afternoon lakeside party. 5 pm. Let me know if you did not receive or have questions.

See you in a few days. I will arrive Thursday, staying at Hyatt Regency downtown. Would be up for some social activity if anyone will be in town by then.

Although the bar is pretty high, this is shaping up to be the best LEX DO yet.

No luck at all on Keeneland tickets. I may give up tomorrow and give in to extortionate scalper pricing (Stubhub).

Trackside breakfast is not the same as the Track Kitchen. Trackside is a different deal held Saturdays only with commentary during morning workouts. We did it once years ago at one of the earliest H&B DOs. Wonder if per TMB's message below it's been canceled?

Though I'd be surprised if Keeneland no longer does the Saturday trackside breakfast. If we show up and it's canceled then the Track Kitchen is always an option.

For anyone looking for additional Saturday morning activities, there appears to still be 1 spot left for Darley at Jonabell Farm's tour at 10:30.

Anyone have any distillery ideas for Friday? I might take a run over to Louisville or Bardstown.

I might be up for that. As I recall the only distillery I have been to over that way is Makers Mark. Chat tomorrow?

Weather forecast this weekend F/S/S looks like highs around 70, possible rain Fri and Sunday.

If anyone is interested in the Icelandic horse farm Saturday morning, let me know so I can contact my friend who owns it.

Looks like it's shaping up to be a great weekend. Thanks to Win and other for getting things setup. Forecast temps are higher than I remember any other Spring LEX DO!

I might be interested in the horse farm Saturday morning - if there is already a large enough group going. Would be most interested, however, in a distillery visit or two on Saturday? Does anyone have any tasting plans for Saturday?

I did a bit more searching; https://allevents.in/lexington/sunri...00016851537708 claims that they held a trackside breakfast this past weekend and will do so every Saturday this month. I would definitely be up for this!

Here is what the website says:

"Enjoy the sights and sounds of the morning works at Keeneland at Sunrise Trackside every Saturday during the race meet at Keeneland!

• Breakfast with the Works (7:00 – 8:30 AM) Enjoy breakfast in the trackside Equestrian Dining Room for $8 (kids five and under eat free).
• Children’s Activities (7:30 – 9:00 AM) Visit the Kids Club Corner and meet Keeneland mascot Buckles. There will be free activities, including photos in jockey silks, face painting, and more.
• Tours (7:30 – 10:00 AM) Learn about Keeneland through a guided walking tour of the grounds. Tour groups will depart from the welcome stand in the Paddock.
• Paddock Demo (9:00 AM) Watch a live, educational equine demonstration take place in the saddling paddock, with a new guest each Saturday.

Reservations are not taken or needed, Admission is free. All Saturday morning activities continue rain or shine."

Some last-minute work came up so unfortunately I won't be able to make it this time. Thanks to toomanybooks as usual for organizing, and have a great weekend in LEX, all.

“Frozen on Ice” is going on next door at Rupp Arena this weekend. No wonder everything is packed.

Never saw so many floor-length pale blue princess dresses in my life.

I should arrive in the LEX area around 10 PM tonight; if anyone wants to get together at Beer Trappe (or elsewhere) let me know. (If you don't have my phone # just let toomanybooks know and he can pass the message on.)
