If we don't I would go with Saturday 28th June!

Could not do 28th June - am visiting my GF in Montana for the first week in July.

I'd certainly like to be there. Full availability for June.

ajamieson May 1, 2002 6:36 am

28th is best for me, FWIW.

celbrian May 1, 2002 6:54 am

Ahem... 28th is actually a Friday.

As for accepting Americans, English or Martians, I'll just fake any nationality that will get me invited http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

There is actually a FT gathering already posted for 6/28-6/30 (mdtony's Washington DC doo).

Just thought I'd toss that out... I would be interested in the London gathering... and I hate it when we get dueling FT events going. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Let's have a cheapskates do on June 29 then - for those who can't afford to fly transatlantic twice in one month.. and can get into central london by bus, train, plane or foot - regardless of nationality of course.

I guess that the impact of conflict with a do in Washington will not be so large, as it is high fare season and cheap fares ex UK are still scarce.

Can we make it the 28th ? I'm flying to Missoula, Montana (yes - a nightmare to get to from London) on the 29th ...

Cast your minds back to late December last year, GK sent out a wayward plea for a UK gathering. What happens? One January evening the Americans crash the party, outnumbering us Brits and Scots!

So what about a re-run for June, 5/6 months down the line. Anyone interested?

The last one was actually my first FT Gathering, and it was good to meet some of my fellow FT members.

By then I should have hit my 500th post and my 2nd Anniversary on the board.

Thanks,
Richard

I think we should leave it to Richard to set a date (he with the ideas gets to choose) and we'll see who can make it ...

Saturday 29th still looks good. ANy takers for this date?

Richard

Mark me as "probable" for the 28-29th. I have cousins spending a month in London through the 27th whom I'd like to see, and three potential semi-excuses for a "business" trip, only one of which has to firm up to get me on a plane. This would round out the trip nicely!
