There are 59 confirmed attendees. I am already updating two files with each payment, so I do not plan on a thread with who paid so far. If you want to know who is confirmed, I believe that information is available on the Do web site.
Recently I sent an email to everyone that had an email address listed on the Do web site if they said they were coming and had not paid. I really did not want to spend the time looking up the 10-20 email addresses of those that said they were/might come and had not paid. That wave of email resulted in a number of payments. But I refuse to spend time babysitting everyone. I have already spent countless hours on this event. Any additional hours will be spent making the event better, not nagging or begging someone to attend. If this post does not come off as my usual fun self, I am sorry. But between the two dinners (about 90 dinners), checks coming in the mail, PayPal email, requests for my snail mail address to mail checks, my plate is pretty full. If you plan on coming, pay asap. If you think you can show up the day of the event and get in without letting us know, you are wrong. We have to confirm headcounts to the restaurant well before the event. |

OK, maybe last night, (early this morning) I was a little cranky. Now that I have had my caffeine, I am less cranky. Below is the list of people that have paid, told me that they will pay me the night of the event (primarily those that can't/won't use PayPal and are not in the US), informed me that a "check is in the mail", or emailed me with their confirmation/payment details.

This is only a suggestion.
To thank Comicwoman aka Wendy, AnnaS and ElmhurstNick for taking their precious time and effort in organising this 'BIG' event, how about we each chip in, say $2 extra to buy the Chicago-Do host/esses dinners?
