Lima, Peru open air Internet cafe at the shopping mall was the most interesting place.

From dozens of countries on all continents save Antartica. I'm wireless in MSP this week and I really love the wireless at the SIN airport. You can surf the web from the pool!

Great thread, and some very interesting places to be on FT... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Just about anywhere and everywhere. Even when in the most remote places, if I've got some dead time, I just plug my laptop into my cell phone and I can hit it (limited to a snarly 14,400 bps that way, but by setting the browser not to display graphics, it speeds it up pretty good).
Have done it from an AirFone as well. Even hacked the restrictor on a computer at the Innoventions attraction in Tomorrowland at Disneyland and surfed FlyerTalk with several dozen puzzled park guests watching on the big screen above. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif |
Sitting at the pool, since I just set up my wireless network at my place!
Nothing like surfing and sunnin' in SAN. [This message has been edited by jetsetter777 (edited 03-19-2002).] |
Wingless: Can you imagine what I would look like if I DIDN'T go to the gym 3 or 4 times a week????

From many of the above mentioned places plus cruise ships. I hate to get too far behind, makes it so tough to ever catch up. And I don't want to miss anything important. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I actually posted from a hospital emergency room when I was the patient. This was in the end a pretty good way to get attention from the docs. The EMTs will rush right in when you first arrive to rank you on the "close to death" chart, but if you aren't at the top, you go to the bottom of the list. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif
It was amazing, once the word got out in the hospital that the crazy lady in E-6-3 was talking on line to her FlyerTalk friends from all around the world, just how quickly a cadre of docs came swarming into my room to try to figure out just how I had accomplished this amazing feat. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Thanks to you dgolds for putting out the word that night and thanks to all of you who jumped into FT chat and held my hand through cyberspace during that scary time--especially you, my beloved brother Rudi who stayed awake far into your night. |
My oddest places were probably from the main post office in Hong Kong and from the Museum of Science in Caracas. They had a communications technology display, but apparently have not advanced to having website limits on their computers... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
