I decided to join FT in 2005 ...my first post was about SKYTEAM partners (this might also apply to some partners with STAR and ONE World) in which all airline partners websites would allow you to put in your're MAIN airline FF number on a different airline website. However, things have not change..considering its 2007 and you would think Airlines would updated their sites.

Anyway...just one example,

DELTA.com does not allow any of the SKYTEAM partners such as NW, CO flyers to put in their FF number on Delta.com when making travel plans. You have to call Delta.com or e-mail Delta.com, and ask them to add your NW, CO, KE, AF and others etc. FF number.

p.s. Delta.com...do you hear me! :p

Northwest Airlines does allow one to input his or her frequent flier program number from other airlines at www.nwa.com. I have put in my Delta Air Lines SkyMiles frequent flier number, for example, when constructing a reservation there...

...just for your information.

I would have to say....I found about FT in spring 2003 by reading USA Today. I was just a lurker for a long time. There is SO much to read and many topics.

Hi ... I learn about Flyertalk reading a story on the USAToday website. Also, I seen the link of Flyertak on Airliners.net website. I have both sites bookmark. I find both sites fun and some times crazy...specially the A vs B chats and which airlines are better etc. ;)

I already had the UA credit card and really needed 4k elite miles to get 2p back in 2006 so I kept searching for "free ua elite miles" and came across flyertalk and became addicted and did not stop at mr's but continued to read and got hertz gold ua 1p and starwood and hilton gold.Oh and than had to keep posting in order to get omni.

I lived for a year with xyzzy as a student.

The day I arrived he asked if I already had a milleague account. I said yes, of course, on LH. He answered, well, I already got you one for CO.

The second day he told me about Flyertalk and that I really need to sign up... ;)

There was absolutely no way to escape;)
