Conde Nast Traveller, perhaps?

I think I saw a reference to this site in a Conde Nast 'Traveller' magazine a few years back. I've been lurking and learning ever since. Now, if I could only change jobs so that I could apply some of this....

I read about FT in USA Today and am glad I checked it out.

I used to read on airliners.net and someone mentioned a CX trip report was worthy of the more mature audience on flyertalk. Just had to check it out....

My best friend told me about it. Sorry to reduce Flyertlak to a halitosis commercial but that is how it was.

I lurked for quite a time and then came out. There was no going back. Now I am hopelessly, helplessly, utterly addicted.

I believe that there is no known cure!

I read a story about FT and had to look it up. I read everything I can to learn more about travel, miles and more. I lurked for a long time before I felt I could really add something to the forums and/or ask questions. I started reading at the top of the list with Miles & More, then Travel & Dining and the extras on the site. Just recently I started reading Community and was surprised to learn about coupons and the fact I had no access or to Onmi. It was ok as there is so many others thing to find on FT.

In my circle of friends, I am the knowledgeable person about the hotel programs and travel but I know I have so much to learn. I am still a novice and keep learning everyday from FT. I have been so excited that this year I might make elite at NW. If I had known about FT several years ago, I would have been elite by now. Thanks for all the great info.

To be honest, FlyerTalk found out about me rather than the other way around and had been talking about me for quite some time before I knew anything about it. I picked up the FT thread in a Google search and decided to jump in and I've been here ever since.

FT was mentioned 6 mos/ ago in a WSJ article. I've been a lurker/participant ever since.

I was taking to a fellow passenger on a flight back in September of 2001. The passenger was not a member but had heard of FT somewhere and we talked about FT. I left for a while because of some curt responses to a thread I created. I returned in November 2002 under a new identity because I forgot my original identity and password.

I have come to appreciate FT for the people that comprise the community and the information that is passed along. FT is a great site and I appreciate the people here. ^

I was doing some keyword search on google in regards to air travel and the search engine returned with a FT discussion thread. So from there I went.

I was also searching for some trip related info on google and stumbled across flyertalk. Lurked for a while and then joined in with the great crowd of this forum.

A friend and I were younger fliers working on becoming frequent fliers and worked together on various ways to accumulate more miles and assorted bonus stuff, though I have to admit we were only moderately successful compared to some of the hard-core FTers. He got the SmarterLiving (now SmarterTravel) newsletters and sent me one of them for something that affected me (I flew US, he flew AA) and from there I signed up for their newsletters. They frequently have links to FT threads in the newsletters, and that's how I first ran into some FT threads.
