And how many miles are you getting on your honeymoon run?

Yes we're having a meatless wedding as my future wife and I have decided to turn Vegan.... no no we're actually being nice and are going to give people a choice besides chateaubriand. So basically it's either beef or Chik-Fil-A.
Don't EVEN get me started on honeymoon miles. She already thinks I'm nuts for doing mileage runs and when I told her I was planning the air portion she said "You are not flying me to hell and back and we are not turning our honeymoon into one of those mileagerun thingies you love so much." So, no IAH-HNL-GUM-NRT-EWR-CDG for me
Direct flights only, AND I can't even use KLM 'cause there's a connection involved. Oh well, I've wanted to try out BA for ages anyway!

Kane -
Congratulations!
I had the exact same series of conversations w/ my fiance about direct routings on our honeymoon.
It was a real bummer.

Congratulations !!! In September I was married for the first time as well....and I can certainly relate to your mileage run issues for the honeymoon trip.
Fortunately for me GIG-CDG was non-stop and worth 12,000 "Q" miles plus some good joining bonuses for me and my wife on Air France. Had we decided to get married in Canada.....it would have been a much different flight I think....one that I may not have been able to convince her to go on

Yes, but could you imagine the consequences if you ever decided to upgrade?

And everyone, thanks so much for your sentiments... may everyone have a happy, healthy and VERY profitable (mileage and otherwise) new year.
P.S. Wharvey... that kinda upgrade would take a lot more than miles. I think some lawyers call it a cashectomy???
