Alas, it just isn't in the cards. I was scheduled to work, and even with my persistance in getting it changed, it seems that my efforts are futile. It was a great time and we had about 23 or so people show up. The newlyweds made an appearance and the guest of honor, Rudi, was present with cigars in pocket.

Ah yes, it was nice "seeing" everybody again and meeting new flyertalkers! But I really enjoyed it when a cellphone was passed around with Essxjay on the other end and we all got to tell her what she was missing. She was eating leftover pizza and we were at the Yardhouse with 250 beer taps!

It was a real pleasure to have the chance to meet so many other people who appreciate the information (and who actually care about the information) posted on this board. Thanks to everyone for coming to and/or organizing the event.

I was nice to "meet" with Rudi again and to see all the familair and new faces.
