Concorde Charter
How about a FT Concorde charter flight?
For those who don't check BA forum so often, there is something interesting going on. Check out Concorde Charter? for details.
If you already know what I'm talking about, can go to www.geocities.com/ftconcorde for "reservations".
Edited for html.

Sure, I can afford two grand for a ticket (just don't pay rent, feed the dogs...). I wonder if they take miles?

This Concorde Trip -- what tires are they going to use?
If they have the Firestone tires sent over by FORD to Air France I hope the price is discounted.
Sounds like fun as more info is known.

TANSTASFL - but if you work it right, FF miles comes pretty close.

This would be so cool. If the price is right and BA gives tier points for this
(that would almost make one instant Silver, atleast in my country EC version)

But then someone posted Concorde doesn't have row 13, so there are actually only 100 seats...
Anyway, current figure now is 56 empty seats.

For a few 100 you can book seats from Goodwood Travel, who for decades have been the leading charterer of Concorde. And doubtless will be again when flights resume. They fly them regularly all over the world, all year round, and all at a fraction of the LHR-NYC price, and Goodward include hotels, sightseeing etc.

FYI, according to this article:

The cost of chartering a Concorde is "more than $40,000 per hour in use"

It was announced today that French and British officials have cleared the fleet of 12 aircraft for flight once the remaining safety modifications are made. The news comes 13 months and 11 days after the fatal crash minutes after takeoff from CDG airport. Both Air France and BA were pleased with the news to reinstate Concordes airworthiness certificate.
Air France has announced that it will resume commercial service between Pairs and New York in November, while BA intends to resume the London-New York route soon, though a date has not yet been set.
The mandatory airworthiness directive from civil aviation authorities lays out changes to be made to the aircraft before it can resume trans-Atlantic flights.
